Candidate nominations now open for the 2018 Victorian State Election!
We are now calling for candidate nominations for the Lower and Upper Houses in the 2018 Victorian State Election.
The Victorian Legislative Assembly (or Lower House) consists of 88 representatives, 1 representative from each seat. Our goal is to have candidates standing in all seats, as by doing so we are sending a powerful message to the other parties that animal issues must be on the political agenda.
The Victorian Legislative Council (or Upper House) consists of 40 representatives, 5 from each of the 8 regions. We have a real chance of having an MP elected into the Upper House but to ensure this happens we need two candidates per region (primary and secondary) to stand.
In you’re an AJP Member and interested in running please complete our Online Candidate Application Form.
If you’re not currently a Member then all you need to do is sign up and pay $20 and then complete the Online Candidate Application Form.
Closing of 1st round Nominations is 15 September 2017.
If you have any questions about the role of a candidate or the nomination process then please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
We can make an enormous difference to the lives of animals but we can’t do it without you!
