Fiona McRostie is the candidate for Maribyrnong
Fiona grew up on a sheep and cattle station and witnessed first-hand the reality of what life meant for animals. This experience shaped her passion to provide a voice for all animals big and small. Fiona works at The University of Melbourne as a Records Analyst and holds professional qualifications in records management, training and assessment and Multimedia.
Fiona realised that within the political landscape there was little in the way of a legal framework that will protect the rights of animals from cruelty and abuse. She believes through collaboration, education and changes to legislation that we can bring about significant change for all animals.
She joined the Animal Justice Party in 2014 and stood as a candidate in the 2014 Victorian State Election. Fiona currently holds the position of HR / Training Manager within the Animal Justice Party.
Fiona stand for a world where respect and compassion regardless of form is recognised and protected.
