Population

The AJP believes that our policies will enable Australia to reduce its impact on wildlife and the rest of the natural environment while maintaining a compassionate approach to both migrants and refugees, while reducing the home-grown component of our population growth to zero.

Key Objectives

1. To reduce the national birth rate to replacement levels.

2. To educate on the negative impacts of exponential population growth, and the positive outcomes of a stable population.

3. To expand needs based and family re-union immigration in conjunction with the success of our other policies in limiting human impact on the natural world.

There is plenty of room in Australia. I am very thankful for immigration. The demand for factory farms would exist elsewhere. Blaming immigration for what we consider problematic has been tried many times in the past. It’s called fascism.

Key objective: “To reduce the national birth rate to replacement levels.” Australia does not have excessive natural birth rates! Our fertility levels are low. Over 50% of our population growth is due to net overseas immigration, and the great majority of this 200,000 per year is “skilled” immigration and family reunions. We need to stabilize our population through zero immigration, or zero NET immigration. The demand for factory farms, and impact on wildlife, will continue out of control at our present, unsustainable, rate of population growth.

What is meant by “3. To expand needs based and family re-union immigration in conjunction with the success of our other policies in limiting human impact on the natural world.”?

Also, if we care about animals then we should not believe that not touching the “natural world” is beneficial to the animals.
