Jen Gamble Greater Geelong Kardinia 2020
JEN GAMBLE - CITY OF GREATER GEELONG
Jen is standing for Kardinia Ward in the City of Greater Geelong.
Jen is a registered nurse who works in the operating theatre at the local hospital. Outside of her full-time role in helping people, she spends her time looking after her two rescue cats and dogs, fostering cats for a local rescue group and volunteering as a wildlife rescuer for a number of groups across the Greater Geelong area. Jen has a strong sense of justice, believing that all lives have value, and cares deeply for both the animals and the people that make up our community. In addition to her professional experience, Jen attends Grovedale Baptist Church, works with the Victorian Perioperative Nurses Group organising conferences and education for her peers across Victoria and serves on the Victorian Animal Justice Party Committee. She is committed to all the organisations she represents and works hard to serve her community through these roles.
“My vision for the City of Greater Geelong is one where everyone is safe. There is so much natural habitat being lost to development and we need to find a healthy balance. Alongside helping wildlife, we also need to get better support from Council for the Geelong Animal Welfare Service (GAWS) to prevent any animal from losing their life unnecessarily and to support GAWS staff in the important work they do”.
Jen is passionate about the Geelong community and believes that a future focused, inclusive vision, has the power to unite our community and create a more compassionate and healthier Geelong to sustain generations to come.
