Nadine has lived all but four years of her life in the Preston Electorate and therefore knows and understands the community. Born at PANCH, grew up in North East Reservoir, BSc (hons) from La Trobe University, home-owner in Preston and Reservoir. Three years ago she bought the family home from her parents and now lives in Reservoir again with plenty of room for two cats (confined to house and cat enclosure), two kelpies and a garden for native birds, insects, growing food and relaxing.

Nadine (PhD, Melb) is a biologist with a life-long interest in the environment and species conservation and she works to connect science and society through education, communication and advocacy. She believes we need powerful, incorruptible environment and animal policies and this is why she is running as a candidate. In the Animal Justice Party, Nadine is the Deputy Victorian State Convenor, the Regional Group Leader of Northern Metro and the Kangaroo Campaign Manager.

She is also a member of the Society for Conservation Biology, Australian Science Communicators and the Australian Conservation Foundation and is active in the ACF Darebin Community Group. Nadine is a Community Leader and Representative in the City of Darebin and is on the Darebin City Council Environment Reference Group, Donath & Dole Community Reference Group and is a Board Member of the newly formed Darebin Nature Trust, whose mission is to protect, conserve and enhance Darebin's Natural Heritage.
