Help Rosemary Lavin get elected: Knox 2020

Rosemary is standing for Dinsdale Ward in Knox City Council.

Injustice drives Rosemary Lavin to action. She believes the time to focus on compassion and inclusiveness is now. As a child growing up in South Africa, she recognised Apartheid’s injustice and also became acutely aware of how animals are exploited and abused. Since then she is determined to support all living beings that are disadvantaged, homeless, abused or ignored.

With a background in teaching, Rosemary believes Knox Council can take a lead role in and in promoting healthy lifestyles while addressing the source of zoonotic disease and establishing ways to cope with this pandemic to avoid another one.

If Rosemary wins a seat at the Council, her decision making will be guided by the Party’s values of Kindness, Equality, Rationality and Non-violence.  She will focus on the preservation, restoration and enhancement of current remaining ecosystems and improving the Knox Council Domestic Animal Management Plan (DAMP).

"We must care for our wild spaces, and we must manage proposed developments around them. If done well, they could be groundbreaking for future developmental conflicts. We must find a kinder way forward for all in our community.”

“A vote for me is a vote for incorruptible, innovative solutions to the health and financial concerns we are all currently facing, and for more integrity in the Council.”
